Sophie Mergaliyev
Our Easter Course 2023 is taking place from 11th-14th April at COPAH Studios, Hinckley and we are so excited to have Sophie Mergaliyev joining us again this year.
Sophie Mergaliyev began her training as a Junior Associate with The Royal Ballet School in London. She went on to train full time at Elmhurst Ballet School where she danced with Birmingham Royal Ballet during her graduate year. Upon graduating she went on to dance with many leading ballet companies around the world including Royal Swedish Ballet and Croatian National Ballet. She performed many of the classics, with soloist roles in Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Four Seasons and many more.
Sophie has been awarded affiliate status with The Royal Ballet School, as part of the first cohort of teachers from around the world. She most recently directed a UK winter tour of Swan Lake and Nutcracker as a repetiteur and teacher with over 50 international dancers. She is the co-founder of SYM Dance organisation, with their own associate programme and courses throughout the year in Kent. She is really looking forward to returning to REC Easter course this year.

We were so happy to squeeze in a different/safe Winter REC recently. We had missed our dancers and had such a good time together in the studio!
Our Easter Course is in the diary for 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th of April. Fingers crossed.
What a year 2020 has been.

We are so sad, yet confident, to announce the cancellation of our REC Easter Course 2020. Following advice from the government at this time we would not want to risk the health and safety of our students and staff and their families.
